Mr. Calvin Vernon Truman Gantt, 75, was born in Advance, NC on April 20, 1946. He went home to be with the Lord peacefully on Friday, October 29, 2021 with his wife at his side. Mr. Gantt was a resident of Rural Hall, NC and worked at RJ Reynolds until 1982, then relocated to Port Chester, NY beginning a second career as a truck driver for PCS, Inc. In 2006, he relocated back to Winston-Salem, NC and he started his third and final career at WSTA as a bus driver where he often shared the word of God with his passengers until his health failed him.

Mr. Gantt was preceded in death by his mother, Bonnie Louise Gantt; his sister, Gladys Bush; his brother, Donald Gantt; sisters-in-law, Rhonda Gantt and Doris Price; mother-in-law, Annie L. Lancaster; and father-in-law, Henry Wilson.

Mr. Gantt is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Flora Wilson Gantt; his children, Tyran Wilson of Winston-Salem, NC, Isaiah Wilson of Winston-Salem, NC , Cheryl (Rev. Cory) Brown of Florida, Calvin (Donna) Gantt, Jr., of Winston-Salem, NC and Tabitha Gantt of Winston-Salem, NC; god children, Chelsea Bryant of Atlanta, GA, Jasmine Durham, Danajai Wilson, Passhun Wilson, and Cameron Durham all of Winston-Salem, NC; brothers, Neal Gantt and Carlos (April) Gantt of Winston-Salem, NC; sister, Constance (Gary) O'Neal of Winston-Salem, NC; sisters-in-law, Sandra Wilson, Teresa Wilson, Christina (Thomas) Durham, and Phyllis Gantt all of Winston-Salem, NC; brothers-in-law, Henry L. Wilson of Texas City, TX and Heyward (Al) Wilson of Winston-Salem, NC; father-in-law, Timothy Lancaster of Winston-Salem, NC; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, relatives and friends.

A viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 5:00pm Thursday, November 4, 2021 at Russell Funeral Home.

Private funeral services will be held Friday, November 5, 2021. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
