Mr. Calvin S. Scales, 63, departed this life Monday, September 17, 2012. He was born August 31, 1949 to the late Calvin C. Scales and Ruby Lee Wilds.

He was a retired truck driver.

Left to cherish his memories are his devoted wife, Deborah Ross Scales; children, Michelle Scales, Shannon Scales, Tammy (Kevin) Green, and Pamela Ross; grandchildren, Trevacyia Scales, Rakim Anderson, LaAndra Rorie, Jasmine Scales, Kevin Green, Jr., Tyreek Green, Christopher Scales, Quenell Cundiff, Devon Scales, Diron Ross, and Dante Ross; great-grandchildren, Nevaeh Scales, S'niyah Hariston, Diron Ross, Jr., and U'niya Manning Ross; siblings, Lawana (Ferman) Wallace, Ruby Lee Wilds, Karen Wilds, Brenda (Ceroy) Simon, Tammy (Lawaski) Jenkins, Willie "Rabbit" Wilds, and James "Butch" Wilds; uncles, Donald and Doug Scales; special friends, Eddie Mims, Todd Johnson, Robert Fisher, Curtis Foster, Roosevelt McNeil, William Fisher, Sean Holbrook, and Zach Mosley; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm Friday, September 21, 2012 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop S.T. Green officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 1pm until 2pm on Friday at the funeral home.
