Very early Wednesday morning, February 13, 2008. God in His infinite wisdom chose to call home his faithful, humble servant, Calvin Leon "Pie" Davis. Calvin was born in Winston-Salem, NC Friday, June 19, 1964 to Bessie G. Davis.

Calvin distinguished himself academically and athletically at a very early age while a student at Abert H. Anderson High School. After graduation from Parkland Senior High School in June 1982, Calvin furthered his studies, earning the Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Andrews Presbyterian College, Laurinburg, NC in 1991. After graduation, he served tirelessly with the Social Security Administration, Lumberton, NC office for over 13 years.

Calvin was preceded in death by a brother, Darryl Davis and a nephew, Kevin Davis.

He leaves cherished and affectionate memories, his mother, Bessie G. Davis of the home, three sisters, Linda Davis (Bernard) Cole, Angela Davis and Janice Davis, all of Winston-Salem, NC; two brothers, Michael (Cassandra) Davis of Banning, California and Anthony Davis of the home; several nieces, nephews, loyal and devoted friends. Calvin will be dearly missed by those he loved and those who love him.

Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon Monday, February 18, 20008 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Family visitation will be held from 11 am until 12 Noon Monday at the funeral home.
