Obituary

Bridgett Robinson was a courageous, adventurous woman who always had a kind word for everyone she encountered. Known for her faith, compassion, and no-nonsense attitude, her favorite phrase, "I don't play," reflected her strength and authenticity. She made time to listen, pray, and uplift others with her encouraging words.

Born to Samuel and Barbarette Cureton, Bridgett was their cherished  Princess. She was a kind-hearted child who easily formed connections, including with her childhood best friend, who later became her soulmate and devoted husband, Sonny Robinson. Together, they built a life centered on love and family, raising four children: Shenicka Cureton Witherspoon, Amber Marie Robinson, Jeffery Wayne Robinson Jr., and Tiffany Denise Robinson-Boston.

Bridgett graduated from North Forsyth High School and attended Carolina Beauty College, where she cultivated her love for beauty and style. She worked at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts for over 20 years, earning respect for her strong work ethic and dedication. Bridgett's vibrant spirit and commitment to excellence left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

She embraced life with joy and passion, filling her days with the things she loved most. Bridget adored shopping, visiting the beach, and spending time outdoors. At home, she enjoyed cleaning, cooking, and creating a warm environment. Her favorite pastimes included watching The Price is Right, soap operas, and Christmas movies year-round. Bridgett's faith, love for her family, and many accomplishments remain an inspiration to all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Barbarette Cureton; her grandmother, Minnie Speas Carpenter; and her grandson, Corey Isaiah Robinson.

Bridgett is survived by her husband, Sonny Robinson; her siblings, Vincent Daniels, Beverly Daniels Halsey (Wendell), Toni Cureton Peoples (Derrick), Kimberly Cureton Banner, and Samuel Cureton, Jr.; her children, Shenicka Cureton Witherspoon (Derrick Witherspoon), Amber Marie Robinson, Jeffery Wayne Robinson Jr., and Tiffany Denise Robinson-Boston (Deshun Boston); her grandchildren, Armand Demarr Robinson, Jynesis Marshay Johnson, Javon Marque Johnson Jr., George Leon McLean Jr., London D'ior Martin, and Laila Armani McQueen; and her great-granddaughter, Ki'Yanni Jayne McLean.
