Brianna Angie Collado, 7, of Winston Salem NC, passed away, on February 10, 2023, after suffering a medical emergency while in attendance at Walkertown Elementary in Walkertown, NC.

On February 11, 2015, Brianna was born to Joanna Jenny Morales and Alex Collado in New York, NY.

Brianna was her sister's keeper, a bright light, she loved cracking jokes and making people smile. Though she had autism, that did not define who Brianna was. She was down to earth, funny and smart. For example, her favorite color was Indigo. I bet none of you know what the color Indigo even looks like. But Brianna did!!! Her world revolved around her love for her mother, grandmother, and twin sister so much so if they walked in the room, you no longer existed. However, you had her undivided attention as long as they were not in sight.

Brianna was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Jose Morales and Carlos E. Collado; and her favorite great uncle, Edwin "Wafflesticks" Lozano.

She leaves to cherish fond memories with her parents; two sisters, AriAna Melani Collado and Alexis Collado of NY; both grandmothers, Ana Cecilia Morales and Milagros Quiroz of NY; two aunts, Tammy (Robert) Hernandez Palmero and Yvonne Chenet of NY; one great aunt, Liza Lozano; four Godparents, Jonathan (Johanna) Morales, Ivana Fallon, and Pearl Turbides both of New York;  her beloved teachers, Ms. Bonnie, Ms. Katie, and Ms. Lindsay of Walkertown Elementary; and a host of cousins, classmates, and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30pm Friday, February 24, 2023 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel. The family visitation will be held from 3:00pm until 3:30pm on Friday at the Chapel.
