Obituary

Brian Alexander Byrom was born on November 2, 1962 to Mr. Charlie Byrom, Sr. and Mrs. Eloiise (Daily) Byrom (who preceded him in death.)  He quietly departed this life on June 19, 2022 at his home in the loving care of his family.

Brian was the youngest of five brothers who grew up in New Brunswick, NJ.  He was blessed to have a praying mother who raised all five sons in the church. In their early years, the church was the meeting place of the Village Community.  He was the envy and pride of his four older brothers and often took advantage of being the Baby Boy.  Most households in the Village Communities where he grew up treated him as their little brother as well and afforded him all the rights and privileges that came with being a little brother.

As life would have it, Brian experienced life struggles and challenges in a number of different ways, but always rose to the challenge to fight on and trust God and He would see him through.  Brian later moved to Winston-Salem, NC to be closer to his mother and father and two brothers, and was employed at Mountain fried Chicken as a cook and assistant store manager.  He had a giving heart, never met a stranger, and often was the source of laughter in a crowd.  Brian continued to battle the challenges of recent declining health and later succumb to that battle.  He will surely be missed as he is greeted by family members and friends at Heaven's Gate.

He leaves to cherish most dear and precious memories, his father, Charlie Byrom, Sr.; a loving life partner, Katrina Laverne O'Neal of Winston-Salem, NC; three children, Allen Bruce Byrom (Tionna) of Paterson, NJ, Marquis La'Vance O'Neal and Jamal Alexander O'Neal, both of Winston-Salem, NC; one grandchild, Ja'Hazel Irene Alexis Byrom of New Brunswick, NJ; four brothers, Charlie (Chuck) Byrom, Jr. (Priscilla) of Winston-Salem, NC, Robert Neal Byrom (Cheryl) of New Brunswick, NJ, Andre Bruce Byrom of New Brunswick, NJ, Eugene J. Byrom (Cynthia) of Winston-Salem, NC; and a host of uncles, aunt, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and sorrowful friends.
