Brenda Kay Wilson Singletary, 44, daughter of Beverly Broome (Larry) and Theodore Wilson (Molly), was born Feb. 2, 1964. She died Sunday, July 20, 2008. Brenda was a loving Christian, mother and daughter. She attended schools in Forsyth County and was a member of Ministry for Christ under Bishop Andrea Nash.
Brenda was one of the most loving, caring, warm persons you would ever want to meet. Those who knew her loved her very much and always looked forward to seeing her beautiful smile.
She leaves to cherish loving memories to her husband, Woody Singletary; mother and stepfather Beverly and Larry Broome, all of Winston-Salem; her father and stepmother, Theodore and Molly Wilson of The Bronx, N.Y.; two children, Tiffany Wilson and Latisha Cates of Winston-Salem; a granddaughter, Arrianna Goldsmith of Winston-Salem; a sister, Linda Wilson of Winston-Salem; four brothers, Lorenzo, Theodore, Jeff (Sheila) and Bryant (Laurie) Wilson, all of Winston-Salem; a stepsister, Brooksie Broome of Eden; a stepbrother, Anthony Broome of Walnut Cove; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, July 25, at Ministry for Christ Church, with Bishop Andrea Nash officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be from 12:30 to 1 p.m. at the church.
