Brenda Elaine Williams Cobb left her earthly home enroute to her Heavenly home on Wednesday, September 12, 2007. Born March 7, 1951 to Johnnie Lee Witherspoon and Lula Mae Baker, she attended the public schools of Forsyth County.
She was preceded in death by her father, Johnnie Lee Witherspoon; grandmother, Eula Williams, grandfather, the Rev. Haskel Williams; Erwin S.T. Williams, Richard Williams, Marion Williams, and Carlton Williams.
She leaves to cherish in her memory her husband, William Cobb; her parents, Lula Baker and Lynnwood Baker. Cherishing her life and memories are her children, Christine Barr, Oyeshea (Archie) Reaves, Luzelle (Sylvester) Cobb, Brenda (Maurice) Kelly, Jamilah (Jeffery) Cornell; one son, Ramsher Pugh; seven sisters, Cynthia (Steve) Carlton, Pamela (Aldine) Gibson, Constance (Vincent) Harris, Deborah Ann (Larry) Williams, and Sandra Witherspoon; four brothers, the Rev. Erwin (Lynn) Baker, Abbul Ugdah, Johnnie (Gail) Witherspoon; three uncles, Lawrenzer (Jackie) Williams, Hester (Bertha) Williams, and Thomas (Linnabell) Witherspoon; special aunt, Eula Mae Daiels; and a special devoted friends of the family Tanya "Big John" Jackson; aunts, Gerturde (Natoleon) Wilkins; also, Aunt Annette Graham; 22 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; also cherishing her memory area host or nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at 1 pm Monday, September 17, 2007 at St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church, 500 Noble St., Winston-Salem. Family visitation will be held from Noon until 1 pm Monday at the church. The family will leave from the home of her husband, 1225 Victoria Lane.
