Brenda Kay Miller, 44, of Winston-Salem left this earth for her heavenly home on Friday, July 29, 2016. Brenda Miller was born November 24, 1971 in Winston-Salem, NC to Richard Bernard Miller, Sr. and Brenda Faye Miller of the city.

She was a graduate of North Forsyth High School, Class of 91' and attended Forsyth Technical Community College.
Brenda was an active and dedicated member of Piney Grove Baptist Church. She enjoyed serving on the Hospitality Ministry and was a member of The Daughters of Hannah. She truly loved her church family.

She was a faithful employee at US Airways/American Airlines for 10 years where she made many loving and dedicated friends. There was a special place in her heart for her SiStars and US Airways/American Airlines family.

There are not enough words to describe the love Brenda had for her son and family. She had a light that followed her and a smile that touched so many. As we move forward we trust God in knowing she is in his loving arms.

Surviving are her son, DeShaun Demont Miller of the city; mother and father, Brenda Faye Miller and Richard Bernard Miller, Sr. of the city; siblings, Michelle Lewis (Carlos) of the city, Clifford Miller (Erica) of Woodstock, GA, Kathy Miller of the city and Richard Miller, Jr. of the city; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Cora Armstrong Miller, Clifton Odell Miller, Francine Trusedale Miller and Raymond Miller, Sr.; aunt, Cora Eva Mae Miller; and uncles, Larry Aldine Miller and Raymond Miller, Jr.

Homegoing Celebration services will be held at 1:00pm Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Piney Grove Baptist Church, 4715 Indiana Avenue, Winston-Salem, NC 27106 with Rev. Dr. James Linville, officiating. Interment will follow in Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 12:00noon until 1:00pm on Saturday at the Church.

The family request that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to the Autism Society of North Carolina.
