Mrs. Brenda Delphine Smith Macon took her final journey to be with the Lord on January 6, 2010 following an extended period of illness.
Brenda was born March 7, 1960 in Winston-Salem, NC to Mr. Rufus W. Smith, Sr. and Mrs. Bobbie Neil Holland Smith. She was educated in the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School System and was employed at Country Club, Convention Center Caterings until her health failed. Brenda was a faithful member at House of Faith World Outreach.
Brenda enjoyed her family, loved everyone, and loved life period. She will truly be missed by her loved ones.
Brenda was preceded in death by her mother; Bobbie Neil Holland Smith; grandmother, Sally Smith; grandfather, Reese Holland; brother-in-law, Jerry Henry; cousins, Brenda Smith, Gloria Smith, Lou Betha Smith, Ronnie Smith, Dwight, and Wendell Bradley; aunts and uncle, Carrie Smith, Lucellie Smith, and Johnnie Smith, Sr.
Left to cherish her memories her two lovely daughters, Kiarra Delphine Smith and Brianna Denise Smith; her father, Rufus W. Smith, Sr. of Winston-Salem, NC; her grandmother, Della Mae Holland of Winston-Salem, NC; siblings, Sharon Henry, Glenda D. Holland (Hansel Thomas), Rufus W. Smith, Jr., Regina (Leland) Fluitt all of Winston-Salem, NC; a devoted niece, Stacey Alston; God-daughter, Latreace Frieson; a special friend, Mary Flowers; and a host of aunts and uncles; nieces and nephews; cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10am Saturday, January 9, 2010 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Stephen Jordan officiating. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from 9:30am until 10am on Saturday at the funeral home.
The funeral procession will assemble and leave from 2617 Fondly Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27105.
