Obituary
Ms. Brenda S. Johnson passed away July 23, 2013 at Forsyth Medical Center.
She was born January 6, 1944 to Luther S. Smarr and Ida Mauney Smarr in Forsyth County. Brenda was a devoted member of Mt. Nebo Outreach Church.
Brenda was a retired employee of Polar Plastic, Inc., and she was also employed at Unique Furniture and the Hanes Knits Co.
In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her sisters, Grace Smith, Ruth Caldwell, and Geraldine Shepherd; one brother, Elder Eulas S. Smarr; and her son-in-law, Dedrick Dula.
Survivors include three children, Christopher Johnson, Sharla Lindsay, and Winifred Dula all of W-S, NC; a loving granddaughter, DeJai' Johnson; sister, Cora Gaither; brother, David Caldwell, Jr. (Janie); sister-in-law, Elder Lillie Smarr; a beloved and devoted friend, Bernice Gambrell; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30pm Saturday, July 27, 2013 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Antonio L. Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1pm until 1:30pm on Saturday at the Chapel.
