Ms. Brenda Jean Jackson, 63, of Kernersville, NC died Thursday, July 9, 2009 at the home of her loving and devoted daughter, Lorenda D. Jackson. Ms. Jackson was born in Winston-Salem, NC on November 13, 1945 to Mr. Willie and Loree Jackson.
Brenda attended Mars Hill Baptist Church and was a member of the youth choir, under the leadership of Mrs. Duncan.
Ms. Jackson graduated from Atkins High School and went on to attend Forsyth Technical Community College, where she majored in graph arts. She was a faithful employee for several years at Bassett Sac Manufacturing and Western Electric Company in the graph designs department.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
Ms. Jackson is survived by her father, Willie M. Jackson; a sister, Irma Jackson; a daughter, Lorenda D. Jackson; three grandchildren, Donovan, Kelsey, and Lauren Jackson and a host of nephews, nieces, relatives, and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 14, 2009 from the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wilbert Blandon, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from 10:30 AM until 11:00 AM on Tuesday at the chapel.
