Ms. Brenda M. Hart, 54, of 98 Fir Drive, passed away unexpected at her home on Thursday, March 1, 2007.

She was born on June 15, 1952 to Carl M. Grimes and Helen Betty Hart in Forsyth County and lived in Winston-Salem all her life. She was a graduate from Parkland High School. For 13 years, she was employed by Ms. Deborah Best, who was also a valued friend.

She grew up in the First Waughtown Baptst Church during the early years of her life. Ms. Hart rededicated her life to Christ on February 18, 2007 at Living Water Non-Denominational Church.

Ms. Hart was preceded in death by her mother, Ms. Helen Betty Hart; and her sister, Ms. Saretta Evette Hart.

She leaves to cherish her memories her father, Carl M. Grimes of Brooklyn, NY; two children, DeLissa Gwyn and Lafayette Baucum of the home; one grandson, Deshawn Hart of the home; two sister, Diane (Benny) Oates of Rural Hall, NC and Athelia (Wayne) Hawkins of Tacoma, WA; four brothers, Larry Hart of Seattle, WA, Dennis, Vernon, and Onzalee Hart of the city; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, special friends; Wallace Wright and Frances Standback, and other dear friends.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at 2:00 PM from the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Howard Daniels officiating. The family visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Wednesday at the Chapel. The family may be contacted at the home, 98 Fir Drive, Winston-Salem, NC.
