Ms. Brenda Anita Green, 59, was born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina to Eddie and Irene Martin Green. She was educated in the Winston-Salem Forsyth County Public Schools and was a 1968 graduate of Atkins High School. She attended North Carolina A&T State University and graduated from Winston-Salem State University in 1973 with a degree in Sociology. She was employed several years with the North Carolina Employment Security Commission and was a 25 year employee with Forsyth Technical Community College as the Records Coordinator.
Brenda was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church having served on the Usher Board and was a member of the Women's Fellowship.
She passed away July 28, 2009 in High Point, NC.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Eddie Jr., Phillip and Quincey Dwight.
She leaves to celebrate her life one son, Daryl L. "Boo" Green, Sr. (Cindy); four grandsons, Daryl Jr., Daniel, Darrius and Sexton; one sister, Bobbie G. Russell (Edward); one brother, Levander R. "Dickie" Green, Sr.; nieces, Catrice "Tootie" Russell-Miller, Jamicka Morgan and Christie Butler; nephews, Dwayne Hall, Tyrus Clark, Jab Abdum-Muhaymin and Christopher Green; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2pm Sunday, August 2, 2009 from the Bethlehem Baptist Church with Pastor Dwight Hash officiating. Interment will be held Monday, August 3, 2009 in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-7pm Saturday, August 1, 2009 at Russell Funeral Home.
