Brenda Malzina Fulp was born on September 9, 1949 in Stokes County, NC to Hassel Fulp and Ella Mae Scales Fulp.  On Tuesday afternoon, July 9, 2024, Brenda answered her Master's call and peacefully transitioned to her Heavenly home surrounded by her family at Atrium Health-Wake Forest Baptist.

Brenda was educated in the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School System and was a member of the first integrated graduating class of East Forsyth Senior High School.  Immediately following graduation, she enrolled at Winsalm Business College where she received her associate's degree.  Her employment history included Archer (division of RJ Reynolds), Piedmont Airlines, Deere-Hitachi, and most recently Bellomy Research.

Brenda accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized into the Baptist faith.  She was a dedicated and faithful member of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Walkertown, NC where she served as the president of the usher board, sang in the mass choir, and was a participant in several other auxiliaries.

Brenda had an infinite love for her family and friends, and to know Brenda was to love her. She never met a stranger.  Brenda loved to talk and share her life experiences and the goodness of God to anyone she would encounter.  Her infectious smile and sweet spirit was a testament of God's love for her.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandparents and other numerous family members.

Her memories and love will forever remain in the hearts of her mother, Ella Mae Scales Fulp; three sisters, Linda (William, Sr.) Fulp, Gail (Charles) Bohannon, and Wanda (Douglas) McLean; nephews, Reverend William, Jr., Reverend Dwayne (Amy), Derek (LaTonya), Chad, & Chase; nieces, Derika (Brandon) and Demeka (Keith); a host of great-nephews, great-nieces, and great-great-nephews; two uncles, Julius (Druscilla) Conrad, Sr. and Joseph (Geraldine) Conrad, Sr.;  and a multitude of cousins, other relatives, and dear friends.

A viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 5:00pm Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at Russell Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 12noon Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Walkertown, NC.  Interment will follow in Gardens of Memory, Walkertown, NC. The family visitation will be held from 11:00am until 12noon on Wednesday at the Church.
