Brenda Adams,76, of Winston-Salem, NC passed away on July 20, 2024, after an ongoing battle of illnesses.

Brenda was born on March 9, 1948 to Mary and Hobert Sharpe, Sr. in Winston-Salem. After graduation from John W. Paisley High School in 1966, she continued her education at North Carolina Central University. Upon leaving college, she married Benjamin S. Dunovant in 1967. Their union was blessed with one child, Tonya D. Dunovant of Durham, NC. She acquired a career with RJ Reynolds Tobacco company in 1969. She then remarried Robert W. Adams, Jr. in 1979. Their union was blessed with one child, Robert W. Adams III of Virginia.

Brenda was predeceased by Mary Sharpe, Hobert Sharpe, Sr., and Robert W. Adams Jr.

She is survived by her brothers, Hobert (Elga) Sharpe, Jr., Darrell (Marlene) Sharpe, Sr., and Vernon Sharpe; sister-in-law, Terita (Michael) King; daughter, Tonya Dunovant; son, Robert Adams, III; granddaughter, Breanna Dunovant; and a host of near and dear family members and friends.

A viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 5:00pm Thursday, August 8, 2024 at Russell Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Friday, August 9, 2024 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel.  The family visitation will be held from 12noon until 1:00pm on Friday at the Chapel.
