On November 12, 1932 Ms. Bobed Eccles Murray stepped into the lives of her parents, Alexander and Eliza Wharton Eccles of Clemmons, NC. And just as life began, on Saturday, June 13, 2009 God dispatched an angel to her home to reunite Bobed with her parents; son, Steven Phillip; five sisters; and six brothers.
Bobed attended Carver High School and later attended Kate Bitting Nursing School. She was united in marriage to Lawrence Grady Murray, Sr. and from that union three boys and two girls were born, Lawrence G. (Denise) Murray, Jr., Dwayne F. (Antoinette) Murray, Tamara (Ronald) Murray-Wall, and Terry E. Murray McMillian.
Along with her children she is survived by a long time friend and former husband, Lawrence G. Murray, Sr.; three brothers, Frank L. Eccles, Dallas C. (Ruth) Eccles, and David L. (Francina) Eccles; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30am Thursday, June 18, 2009 from the Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 11am until 11:30am on Thursday at the Church.
