Obituary

Bishop Bobby L. Wilson, 53, transitioned from labor to reward on Tuesday, October 30, 2012. He was born March 14, 1959 to Mrs. Annie Mae Worley in W-S, NC.

He attended the Forsyth County Public Schools and graduated from Parkland High School. He furthered his education by attending Vance-Granville College and Carolina Bible Institute. He was employed by the W-S/Forsyth County School System.

From birth he was a member of Mt. Calvary Holy Church where he served faithfully under the leadership of Bishop Harold I. Williams and Pastor Shirley Williams. At his passing, he was an active and faithful member of Christ Cathedral Church of Deliverance under the leadership of Bishop Freddie Marshall. He was faithful in many ministries of the church serving in outreach, Voices of Inspiration, and the Ministers Alliance.

Bishop Wilson was preceded in death by his mother; and his brother, Michael Wilson.

He is survived by one sister, Priscilla Wilson; his brother, Jerry Wilson; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

State funeral services will be held from 6pm-8pm Sunday, November 4, 2012 at Christ Cathedral Church of Deliverance, 1951 Lowery St. W-S, NC 27101. The national homegoing celebration will be conducted at 11am Monday, November 5, 2012 at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 1201 New Hope Lane W-S, NC 27105.
