Bobby "Sonny" Thomas was born to the late Henry H. Thomas and Melven O. Thomas on March 18, 1943. He passed away on November 2, 2010 in Jacksonville, FL. He was employed at Archer, RJR, Hanes, and the Florida Times Union of Jacksonville, FL.
He leaves to cherish his memories three sons, Darryl Thomas of Fort Mill, SC, Bobby Thomas of Charlotte, NC, and Bobby R. Thomas of Lynchburg, VA; two daughters, Denise Chalmers of Winston-Salem, NC and Barbara Thomas of Lynchburg, VA; four sisters, Juanita Herron of Charlotte, NC, Patricia Jacobs of Winston-Salem, NC, Lorraine Little of Walkertown, NC, and Debra (Arthur) DeLapp of Winston-Salem, NC; three brothers, Tim (Fusako) Thomas of Las Vegas, NV, Ivory Thomas of Greensboro, NC, and Craven Thomas of Winston-Salem, NC; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 12:30pm Saturday, November 13, 2010 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Ronald Fisher officiating. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from 12noon until 12:30pm on Saturday at the funeral home.
