A life of wonderment and vitality for Bobby Albert Durham, 65, came to an end on December 12, 2017 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.  He was born on March 3, 1952 in Winston-Salem, NC to Jasper Durham, Jr. and Lula Barnes Durham Charles.

After receiving his high school diploma, Bobby began working at the Schlitz Brewery in W-S, NC.  For the past 22 years he worked in the circulation department of the Winston-Salem Journal, retiring two years ago.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his stepfather, George Charles, Jr.; and his great-aunt and uncle, Catherine Chester Humphrey and Charlie Chester.

He is survived by his three daughters, Bobbie Lorraine Hood, Lasheka Denise Brown, and Latisha Rene Goins; four grandchildren, Aniyah Brown, Jasiyah Jasmin-Brown, Elijah Hood, and Rashad Jami; two sisters, Kathy Durham and Georgette Charles; stepbrother, George Charles, III; aunt, Louise Barnes Stevenson of Queens, NY; and a host of nieces, nephews, multitudes of cousins, and many long-standing friends.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00pm Monday, December 18, 2017 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel.  The family visitation will be held from 1:00pm until 2:00pm on Monday at the Chapel.
