On June 23, 2019 at 11:38pm, Billy DeShawn Crowder, 5 months 1 day, after struggling with several health issues, peacefully went with Heaven's angles to his eternal home. He leaves his mother Tasha LaShia Simpson and his father, Mandell Lamar Crowder; brother, Dr-e Porter; favorite aunt, Shereda R. Yeary all of Winston-Salem, NC; favorite cousin, Renee Yeary of Asheville, NC; grandfather, Billy Luther Simpson of New Tazewell, TN; and several cousins. He was preceded in homegoing by his grandmother, Teresa Ellen Simpson; uncle, Trey Conyer; and great grandmother, Norma Jean Smith.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with pastor Antonio Spillman officiating.
