Obituary
Ms. Beverly Ann Poindexter Warren of 2550 Wallingford Rd. Winston-Salem, NC passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 14, 2008 at Forsyth Medical Center.
She was born June 3, 1947 in Winston-Salem, NC to Alphonso and Katherine Poindexter.
Ms. Warren was a 1965 graduate of Carver High School and alumnae of Bennett College in Greensboro, NC. She was a former employee of Aon Consulting and Westinghouse Electric Corporation. Previously she played the piano at St. James United Methodist Church and loved spending time with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Ms. Warren leaves to cherish her memories her loving and devoted daughters, Robin Warren and Regan Warren (Daryl) Jeter; one sister, June Poindexter Anthony; four grandchildren, Alexander Warren, Shane Jeter, Semaj Warren, and Tristan Jeter; one great-grandchild, Alexia Crawl; her mother-in-law, Lucille Warren; a loving friend, James East; a former spouse, Reginald Warren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm Thursday, September 18, 2008 from the St. James United Methodist Church, 165 Highway 65 W. Rural Hall, NC with Dr. Paul Perkins officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 12 Noon until 1pm on Thursday at the Church.
In lieu of flowers, acknowledgements may be made to the St. James United Methodist Church.
