Beverly Kaye McCarthy, 53, passed away Friday, November 5, 2011. Beverly attended public schools in Winston-Salem and received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She received a Master's Degree from Gardner Webb University. Ms. McCarthy was a teacher at Parkland High School for nineteen years and the Assistant Principal at Grimsley High School for two years before going to Eastern Guilford Middle School.
She is survived by her parents, Haywood and Dorothy McCarthy; her older sister, Debra Jarrett; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at Union Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from 12:30pm until 1pm on Wednesday at the Church.
