Beverly Anne Luck Broome, 73, was born December 27, 1944 in Pittsylvania County, VA to Frank Luck and Ethel Wilson Luck. She departed this life January 23, 2018 at Forsyth Medical Center.
She attended Southside High School in Danville, VA and later relocated to Winston-Salem, NC where she obtained her GED from Forsyth Technical Community College. She then received her certification as a CNA and worked in private duty nursing until her retirement.
Beverly was famous for her dinners and desserts, especially her sweet potato pies
She and her former husband Theodore Roosevelt Wilson were the parents of six children. She later married Larry Broome and they were married for 25 years.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Brenda Wilson; and her husband, Larry Broome.
Left to cherish precious memories are her devoted daughter and caregiver, Linda Wilson; sons, Lorenzo, Theodore, Jr., Jeffrey (Sheila) and Bryant Wilson; step children, Brooksie Broome Sturdivant and Anthony Broome; brothers, Fred (Janie), Marvin, and John Luck; sisters, Helen Jones, Jean Barnett, Ruby Busha, and Elaine Luck; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Dwight Hash officiating. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from 12:00noon until 1:00pm on Tuesday at the Church.
