Mother Beulah Mae Scales was born July 25, 1928 in W-S, NC to Treva Davis. She departed this life on Sunday, July 12, 2015 after an extended illness.

She was employed at Forsyth Technical Community College for 20 years until her retirement in 1990. She was a sweet, loving, and gentle person…gifted to hospitality and who loved cooking for her family, church family, and friends.

It is no secret that Mother Scales' prize possession was her family. She leaves to celebrate her life her husband of 66 years, Cornelius J. Scales; four children, Rudy (Bishop Jacqueline) Hill, Sr., Lady JoAnne (Bishop John) Hopper, Deborah Lindsay, and William (Shelma) Scales, Sr of Rock Hill, SC.; eight grandchildren, Elder Tiwana (Andre) Hopper-Gould, Yolanda Lindsay, Sokya Lindsay, Renee (Minister David) Harrison, William Scales, Jr., John Hopper, Jr.; Jason Scales, and Rudy Hill, Jr.; seven great-grandchildren, Andre Gould, Ryan Gould, Joshua Gould, Hannah Harrison, JeVaeh Hopper, Jaleel Farrar, and Ashton Harrison; special cousin, Ms. Ailene Blair; and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Friday, July 17, 2015 at Goodwill Baptist Church, 541 Goodwill Road Clemmons, NC with Bishop Stephen L. Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the Goodwill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 12noon until 1:00pm on Friday at the Church.
