Betty Lou Thompson-Kearse was born in Burlington, NC on November 24, 1965.  She was parented by Dewayne and Doris Bowes.  Betty was preceded in death her mother, Doris P. Bowes; and her brother, Raymond, Jr.

Betty graduated from Graham High School in 1984.  She attended Winston-Salem State University for 2 years and then she attended ECPI.

Betty was the oldest of her brothers and sister, Raymond, Jr., Jeannette Thompson, and Antony (Shayla) Bowes. She is also survived by her step-sister, Anina; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Betty married Terry Kearse in March 1995 after a three-year courtship.  They settled down in a house on Alice Street and after five years, a loving child named Brandon was born into their union.

Betty went to work for Aon/Alight Solutions where she made many friends and shared a lot of memories starting in 1998.

Unfortunately, Betty's life was bothered by health problems.  Betty's life ended because of complications of COVID-19.  I ask now that to show your love for Betty, bless someone else, a family member, co-worker, friend, or stranger, before this happens to them.

A viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 6:00pm Friday, March 26, 2021 at Russell Funeral Home. Private services Saturday, March 27, 2021.
