Betty Jean Johnson departed Hospice Home-Care to enter into everlasting communion with our Lord on Sunday, November 1, 2020.  She was a caring, devoted mother who always found time for others and possessed unconditional love for her family. A strong-willed matriarch, she ensured that her household affairs were kept in order even under difficult and tragic circumstances. In her spare time, she greatly enjoyed baking during the holidays, conversing with relatives, and staying abreast of current events.

She was a Family Services pre-school teacher for roughly 30 years and a regular attendee of St. James AME Church.

Betty Johnson is survived by her daughter, Sandra Hood; son, PC Johnson; grandson, Jonathan Hood; son-in-law, Everett Hood; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Private graveside services will be held in Evergreen Cemetery.
