Obituary
Ms. Betty Jean Brown, of 4113 Oak Ridge Drive, was called home on Saturday, February 24, 2007 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.
She was born on January 11, 1944 to Raymond and Ruby Brown.
Betty graduated from Carver High School, Russell's Commercial College, and Miller-Motte Business College and was a member of the Carver High School Class of 1962 Alumni Association. She attended Antioch Baptist Church where she was a member of the Nurses Board and was retired from Lucent Technologies.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Ms. Brown is survived by her loving daughter, Kimberly (Montaque) Minor of the home; one sister, Estella Brown of Winston-Salem, NC; three brothers, Willie (Gwenevere) Brown of Winston-Salem, NC, Earlie (Joyce) Brown of Kansas City, MO, and John Brown of Pembroke, NC; one granddaughter, Bailey Minor; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, March 1, 2007 at 1:00 PM from the Antioch Baptist Church, 5061 Lansing Drive, W-S, NC, with Reverend Jimmy L. Montgomery officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 12 Noon until 1:00 PM on Thursday at the Church.
The family wishes to extend its appreciation and thanks to the Forsyth Regional Cancer Center and the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home Staff for the exceptional care of their loved one during this most difficult time.
