Mrs. Bertha Inez Rousseau departed this life on March 13, 2011, after a brief illness. Mrs. Rousseau was born to Bertha S. & Oscar Ramseur on June 19, 1929 in Iredell County and resided in Winston-Salem, NC for the majority of her life.
Bertha attended Iredell County Schools. She was a hardworking woman that enjoyed life with her family.
Mrs. Rousseau had 13 children.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie R. Rousseau; and daughter, Patricia R. McClough.
She is survived by three daughters, Julia Deloise (Joseph) Brown of Pinnacle, NC, Gloria R. Stover, and Connie (John) Wall; nine sons, William, Charles, Robert, Donald, Wayne (Vickie), Ravon, Nathaniel (Renee), George (Arelia), and Kim Rousseau; one brother, Clyde "CV" Ramseur; two sisters, Martha Allen and Savannah I. Johnson of Portsmouth, VA; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Saturday, March 19, 2011 at St. Peter's Church & World Outreach Center. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 12noon until 1:00pm on Saturday at the Church.
The family will receive friends at 6640 El Rancho Drive, Rural Hall, NC 27045.
