Mrs. Bertha A. Davis, 90 passed away April 6, 2011. She resided in Winston-Salem, NC for over 70 years and was a member of Mars Hill Baptist Church where she served in the Missionary Circle. Mrs. Davis was a retiree of Salem College, a former member of the Happy Hill Garden Senior Citizens Club, and enjoyed ceramics, macramé, sewing, and bingo.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Betty Jean Davis.
Left to cherish her memories are three daughters, Pearline D. Howard, Katherine D. Joyner (Harrison), and Barbara D. Hicks; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm Monday, April 11, 2011 at the Mars Hill Baptist Church with Reverend Larry Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from 12noon until 1pm on Monday at the Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the Building Fund of Mars Hill Baptist Church, 1331 E. 4th Street W-S, NC 27101.
