Bernice Gottlieb was born August 2, 1949, to Rudolph and Eunice DuPont in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  She passed away surrounded by the love of family and friends on August 10, 2021 in Delray Beach, Florida.

Bernice retired from a career in dentistry and will be truly missed by everyone whose life she was able to touch. Bernice prided herself in her family, her love for details, and her self-care.  She was truly a "China Doll; one that is irreplaceable."

She's lived in Philadelphia, PA, Tucson Arizona, and Delray Beach Florida. Her plans were to transition back to North Carolina to live with her daughter, Nikia and her grandson Braylen, but God had other plans for her and we, the family, trust God fully in His will and His way.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eunice Dupont and Rudolph Dupont; her husband, Fred Gottlieb; her sisters, Antionette Taylor and Margie Foster; her brothers, Horace Dupont, Charles Dupont, Rudolph Dupont, Jr.; and her granddaughter, Brittany Bernice Dupont-Ellis.

She is survived by her daughters Tanya Bureau (Will) and Nikia Ritchie; her brothers, William Dupont (Vanessa), Clifford Dupont, Robert Dupont (Pauline); her sister, Christine Gwynn (Frank); her grandchildren, LaVonna Goodwin (Maurice), Kiara Hughes, Alvin Davis, Braylen Ritchie and a host of great grandchildren . Her family was her absolute pride and joy.  She dedicated her life to them.  She made sure they were loved and cared for and always put their needs of others before her own.

She will be greatly missed by everyone that was blessed to know her.

A viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 3:00pm on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at Russell Funeral Home.

Private funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 18, 2021. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens.
