Benaja Kenosia Reid was born on September 29, 1973 to Clayton and Naomi Reid and was the second youngest child. She attended and graduated from Parkland High School in 1991. She received her degree from ECPI Institute in Greensboro North Carolina.

Benaja was employed as an executive administrative assistant and held multiple positions within Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist. She was a very talented vocalist and blessed many people with her beautiful voice. Benaja was the owner and founder of Melodic Designs providing cosmetic artistry. She was a vast impact on the lives of many in the community especially the young ladies of the Greyhounds cheer teams.

Benaja was a phenomenal auntie and grand auntie to her nieces and nephews! Her spirit and lively personality were magnifying within our family. She was our fierce, free-spirited fashionista that lived life unapologetically!

Benaja loved the Lord and her family. And we all loved her! Her family and friends are left to cherish her loving and precious memories.

A viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 5:00pm Monday, May 1, 2023 at Russell Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 12noon Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at Redeemed Missionary Baptist Church, 1170 W. Clemmonsville Rd. W-S, NC with Pastor Gary Walker officiating. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from 11:00am until 12noon on Tuesday at the Church.
