Mr. Ben Cox, Sr. was born in Latta, SC on June 3, 1930 to Josephine Alexander. He passed away January 29, 2012. He received his formal education from the Latta School System at Mill Branch and retired from Sherrill Pavement where he was employed over 20 years. Ben had a passion for fishing, basketball, and spending time with his family.

Ben was preceded in death by Josephine Alexander; and parents.

Ben is survived by two children, Ben (Belinda) Cox, Jr. of W-S, NC and Dorothy (Jerry) Floyd of Dillon, SC; three grandchildren, T-Lynn Borders, Benjamin Borders, and Jerry Floyd; two great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law; four brothers-in-law; and a host of other family and close friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11am Saturday, February 4, 2012 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Raymond Banner officiating. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from 10am until 11am on Saturday at the funeral home.
