Mrs. Beatrice Noel McLaurin, lovingly known as "Ms. Bea", was born in New York City, NY to Bernice Noel Hunter on June 18, 1936. She departed this life on March 19, 2017 at her home.

Mrs. McLaurin attended Atkins High School and received her high school equivalency certificate (GED) from Forsyth Technical Community College. She later retired from North Carolina Baptist Hospital where she dedicated twenty-five years as a unit secretary. Ms. McLaurin devoted her time, commitment and service to her community through as a member of Ruth Chapter #533 Order of Eastern Star, Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite. She was a State and National officer. She was a loyal member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church where she served on the usher board for many years.

Mrs. McLaurin was preceded in death by her daughter, Nicole McLaurin.

She leaves to cherish her fond memories her faithful husband, Hazel S. McLaurin; daughter, Sharon B. Wiley (William) of Winston-Salem, NC; son, Reginald T. McLaurin (Brenda) of Richmond, VA; stepdaughter, Patricia Fleming; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; aunt, Doris Bankhead;  two cousins; and a host of loved ones and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00noon Friday, March 24, 2017 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 11:00am until 12:00noon on Friday at the Church.
