Mr. Barry DeShawn Jones, a native of Winston-Salem, NC was born August 31, 1993. He departed this life unexpectedly on October 29, 2024.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Charles McCleary; his grandmother, Lola Mae Jones; and his special cousin, Cynthia Bethea.

Mr. Jones attended the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools. He was a laid back and humble man who loved his family very much.

Barry was a very hard and devoted worker from early childhood until adulthood.  At the time of his passing, he was a shift manager at Burger King.

He leaves to cherish precious memories his children, Nariyana Jones and Elijah Jones; his loving mother, Retha Jones; his devoted sisters, Lakesha Jones, Latoya Jones, and Kesha White; one brother, Elijah Jones; aunts, Terenna Bethea, Katherine Bethea, Martha Jean Bethea and Rewa Lowery; uncle, Carlton Jones; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

A viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 5:00pm Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at Russell Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel. The family visitation will be held from 12:30pm until 1:00pm on Wednesday at the Chapel.
