Mrs. Barbara Ann Williams Howard was born May 19, 1948 to Edward and Lillie Mae Nickerson and transitioned to her Heavenly home on May 14, 2019.

She was a 1966 graduate of Atkins High School and a dedicated member of Mt. Nebo Outreach Church where she served as a youth leader.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents.

Left to cherish her memories and remember her love are her son, Shedrick (Tangela) Howard; grandchildren, Empress Withers, James Stovall, Shedrick Howard, Jr., and Sydney Howard; great-grandchildren, J'Shawn, Omari, Jersey, and Ahmir; her husband, Jerry Howard; siblings, Ann Nickerson and Edward Nickerson; aunts, Clarisse Woods, Mae Francis Williams, and Ernestine Williams; and a host of other relatives and dear friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel. The family visitation will be held from 1:30pm until 2:00pm on Wednesday at the Chapel.

Interment will be held at 10:00am Thursday, May 23, 2019 in Salisbury National Cemetery.
