Obituary
Barbara Annette Mitchell departed this world on April 27, 2016. Barbara was born to Mr. and Mrs. Cyrus and Thelma Richardson on November 8, 1947 in Philadelphia PA.
Ms. Mitchell was employed by the Winston-Salem Forsyth County School System, where she retired with over 23 years of service. She was a member of Phillips Chapel Missionary Baptist Church; Reverend Chad R. Armstrong, Pastor.Ms. Mitchell was a devoted mother, sister and friend.
She was preceded in death by her father, Cyrus Richardson.
She is survived by one daughter, Tina M. Andrews (Timothy); mother, Thelma L. Richardson; sister, Brenda Richardson; niece, Carlette (Dereck) Butler; great-nephews, Cyrus and Chaquille Jackson, Cairo and Cochise; great-nieces, Cherokee and Countess; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00am Saturday, May 7, 2016 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Chad Armstrong officiating.
