Barbara McClelland-Brown, 73, was born on July 13, 1944 in Lumberton, NC to Nancy Carter McClelland and Edward McClelland. On the morning of October 27, 2017 Barbara took her heavenly flight to behold her Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ while at home with her beloved children.

Barbara was educated in the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools. She later married, Edward W. Brown, Jr. and moved to New York City, NY where she was a homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Brown, Jr.; and brother, James McClelland.

Barbara is survived by her 4 sons, Rodney, Walter, Lamont and Antonio; one daughter, LaVonda (John); 3 step-sons, Craig, Reggie (Tonya), and David; 3 step-daughters, Mary (Ronald), Marian, and Crystal (Bobby); three sisters, Betty Craft, Wilhelmina M. Fielder, and Margie (Edward) Fulks; three brothers, Charles (Debbie) McClelland, Willie Carter, and Toby (Sheila) McClelland; and a host of grandkids, great-grandkids, in-laws, nieces and nephews, and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12noon Friday, November 3, 2017 at Praise Assembly Christian Center, 3254 Kernersville Rd. W-S, NC 27107.  Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.  The family visitation will be held from 11:30am until 12noon on Friday at the Church.
