Barbara Jean Hines was born in Winston-Salem, NC in the Reynolds Town Community. She departed this life on November 6, 2011. She was born to Elizabeth Jones Moss and Charlie Land,
Barbara was a graduate of Atkins High School, McLeans's Business School, and Forsyth Technical School.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by three brothers, James Edward Jones, Billy Ray Glenn, and Tyron Franklin Willoughby.
She is survived by her husband, Deacon Lewis Hines; three sons, Pastor Anthony (Vicky) Hines, Scott (Ramona) Hines of South Bend, IN, and Eric Hines; two sisters, Indie McClurkin and Kay Bonner; five grandchildren, Anthionette (Toni) Hines, Algie (MaLana) Hines, Sr., Birean Smith, Laquettia, and Tecorria Burns; four great-grandchildren, Nynia and Algie Hines, Jr., Darius and DeQuist Burns; four stepchildren, Vincent, Bryant, and Brandon Moss, and Natalie Moss Hines; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm Saturday, November 12, 2011 at St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor James E. Cook officiating. Entombment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from 12noon until 1pm on Saturday at the Church.
