On Tuesday evening, November 15, 2011the Lord saw fit to take the soul of our darling Barbara McGruder Clark, 67, out of our ranks from K.B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Mrs. Clark, of 2531 Pittsburg Ave. W-S, NC, was the First Lady of Payne's Chapel Baptist Church in Mt. Airy.
She leaves to mourn her death, her beloved husband, Rev. Dr. Emory L. Clark, Jr.; one son, Kendell (Elizabeth) McGruder of Omaha, NE; one daughter, Kessa (Gary) Wells of Le Mars, IA; two grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Monday, November 21, 2011 at New Light Missionary Baptist Church, 1535 E. 15th Street with Rev. Samuel P.L. Hickerson officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 12noon until 1:00pm on Monday at the Church.
The family will assemble and leave from the home of her sister on Quail Drive.
