Mrs. Barbara McKnight Bumbrey was born to the late Andrew W. McKnight and Leona B. McKnight on April 9, 1934 and departed this life on April 2, 2022 at her home.

She was a native and lifelong resident of Winston-Salem.  She was retired from the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School System where she taught for thirty-three years.

Mrs. Bumbrey is survived by her brother, John Clyde McKnight, III; one son, Joseph Bumbrey, Jr.; two daughters, Sandra Harper and Pamela Lowe; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00pm Saturday, April 9, 2022 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel.
