Audrey Nesmith Pitts was born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina to Ulysses and Rosa Lee Nesmith. She was the third of five siblings; Barry, Sylvia, Audrey, Valeria, and Ulysses, Jr. She passed away Saturday, March 9, 2019.

She obtained her Bachelor's of Science Degree from Johnson C. Smith University in 1974. She made a career in Mortgage Banking. During that time, Audrey was a loving mother to Maleikka, Jeremiah, and Simone. She was also a loving daughter, sister, grandmother, and friend.  She was a devoted partner to Wallace Herron for 30 years.

Audrey was a member of Chappell Memorial Baptist Church and gained great support and love from her church family. The host of relatives and friends who will always love, remember, and cherish her is a testament to her life.

Memorial services will be held at 1:30pm Sunday, March 17, 2019 at Chappell Memorial Baptist Church, Charlotte, NC.
