On June 16, 2021, God called one of his angels' home, Ms. Athalee Miller. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was  the daughter of Mary Thompson Gilmore and Henry Gilmore. She was a faithful member of Mt. Hopewell Baptist Church, Sharon, SC. Attendee of Atkins High School, Winston-Salem, NC. She retired from Forsyth County Public Schools after 20 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father; brother, Ronald Gilmore; two sons, Ernest L. Miller and Clarence G. Miller; and her grandson, Marcus S. Miller.

Surviving to cherish loving memories are two sons, William Miller, Sr. (Davida) of Winston-Salem, NC and Curtis Miller of the home and her loving pet, Peanut; nine grandchildren, William, Jr. (Christina), Tamara, Keshawn, Teiah (Rashaun), Cassey, Latisha, Chante, Sabrina, Diamond, and CJ; twelve great grandchildren; two loving nieces, Rachel Gilmore Graham (Zaid) of Winston-Salem, NC and Mary Miller of York, SC; four devoted cousins, Robert Rawlinson, Brenda Kennedy, Gayle Coston, and Wendy Kennedy; lifelong friend, Ms. Bobbie McCoy; and a host of loving family and friends.

A viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 6:00pm Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Russell Funeral Home.

Private funeral services will be held Monday, June 21, 2021. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens.
