Arthur "Raye" Brent, Jr., 57, of Winston-Salem, NC, transitioned from earthly life into eternal rest on Wednesday, October 9, 2019.

Raye was born to the late Arthur and Claretta Dillard on July 31, 1962 in Forsyth County, NC.  He received his formal education from the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School System and was a graduate of North Forsyth Sr. High School.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Those cherishing his memory are his brothers, Marion Summers, Norman Neal, and Reginald Brent; sisters, Pat Brent, Cynthia Brent, and Denise (Rickey) B. Pouncey; nieces, Monica Brent, Danielle B. Bownes, Trevina McCollum, and Catherine Summers; nephews, Jamal Brent, Norman Morrison, Dewan Brent, Reggie Roberts, and Ryan Reynolds; and a host of other devoted relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00noon Monday, October 14, 2019 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Ronald E. Speas officiating. The family visitation will be held from 11:00am until 12:00noon on Monday at the Chapel.
