Ms. Arnetta Covington Rashad, 53 unexpectedly departed this life on Tuesday, July 28, 2009. She was born in Forsyth County to Katherine and John Wilson on December 5, 1955. Ms. Rashad was a devoted member of St. Peters Church & World Outreach Center. She was an employee of the ABC Board.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Ms. Thelma Williams.

She is survived by four daughters, LaTasha Covington, LaTonya Haizlip and Tyra Haizlip all of Winston-Salem and Monika (Rashad) Smith of Las Vegas, NV; one son, Rahmon Garner of Winston-Salem, NC; her parents; four brothers, Randolph Wilson, John Wilson, Jr., Kenneth (Wilhelmina) Wilson of Winston-Salem, NC and Ricky (Leah) Wilson of Atlanta, GA; two sisters, Arlisia Darlene Wilson and Debra Wilson both of Winston-Salem, NC; seven grandchildren, Carmen, Latrez, Lauren, Jalen, Taiyah, Iycis, and Naseam; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm Tuesday, August 4, 2009 from the St. Peters Church & World Outreach Center with Bishop JC Hash officiating. The family visitation will be held from 1:30pm until 2pm on Tuesday at the Church.
