Obituary

Mrs. Areatha D. Broadway passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 15, 2011 with her daughter and granddaughter by her bedside, she was 85 years young.
Mrs. Broadway was a dedicated member of Morning Star Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, the Meridian Chapter #308 Order of Eastern Star and other organizations too numerous to name. Mrs. Broadway was housekeeping supervisor with Reynolds Health Center for over 42 years. She later came out of retirement and went back to work to supervise the housekeeping department with the Forsyth County Hall of Justice.
She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Charlie "Anita" Dean; one granddaughter, D'Tonya M. Dean; one grandson, Darnell Fulp, Jr. (Jennifer); three great-grandchildren, Danielle Maness, RJ Maness and Jadyn Fulp all of the city; one brother, Bishop Glenn Rorie (Gertrude) of Culpepper, VA; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The Celebration of her life will be held at 2pm Thursday, October 20, 2011 at Morning Star Baptist Church, 1400 Fitch Street W-S, NC with Rev. Dennis Leach presiding. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 1pm until 2pm on Thursday at the Church.
