Obituary

Arbry Peron Felder, affectionately known as "Pinky", departed this life February 8, 2021.  Mr. Felder was born August 19, 1949 to the late Robert Lee Felder and Berdie Lee Penn Felder in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.  He graduated from the original Atkins High School (class of 1968) and received his baccalaureate degree in Science Education from Winston-Salem State University.  He was a retired educator having taught at Philo Middle School, R.J. Reynolds High School, Carver High School, Career Center, and Quality Education Academy.  He was a former member of Hanes CME church and later joined First Baptist Church.  He was very active having served in the Spiritual/Hedgely Fellowship Choir, Chancel Choir, Financial Count Team, Financial Secretary, and Trustee.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert M. Felder, Jr.

He is survived by his Godmother and aunt, Alma D. Penn; two sisters, Quilla Smith and Frankie Cheryl Felder; brother, Dexter A. Felder and wife, Judith D. Felder; aunt, Doris Penn; uncles, Willie Penn, Jr., Thomas Penn, Sr. and wife Veronica; 2 nieces, Kisha Felder and Kristen R. Peterson and husband Micheal; 5 nephews, John Smith, Jr., Jonathan Smith and wife Floneva, Anthony Sanders, Martinique Felder, and Timothy Ferguson; and a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends.

A public viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 5:00pm Sunday, February 14, 2021 at Russell Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be private due to COVID restrictions, but the service will be live streamed.  Contact and tributes may be addressed to his brother at 2018 Storm Canyon Road, WS, NC 27106.
