Antonio Nigel Giles, affectionately known as "Tony", was born in Winston-Salem, NC on March 19, 1966 to Doretha Ann Pigford (Clifford D. Giles, Jr.) and Willie Cremedy. He called his stepfather, Angus "Go-Go" Lowery "Daddy." On September 4, 2023 Tony entered the Gates of Heaven as his final resting place, after a short battle with COVID.
Tony graduated from RJ Reynolds High School in 1984. He loved God, family, sports, fishing, traveling, and grilling. Tony was a skilled handyman who received an HVAC certificate of recognition from Forsyth Technical Community College. Tony and his brothers, "The Giles Boys", were well known throughout the city of Winston-Salem, and to know them is to love them.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Doretha (Angus) Lowery and Clifford Giles Jr.; two brothers, Jules "Tane" Giles (Tammy) and Clifford "Poochie" Giles, III (Deb).
Tony leaves not to mourn but to cherish his memories his daughter, Sateria A. Giles (Jaboree M.); two granddaughters, Yuriel and Zoria Muhammad of Atlanta, GA; brothers, Darryl Giles, Angus "Ankie, Jr." Lowery, Jr. (Linda), Willie Cremedy, Jr. (Dorothea), and Michael Garvin; sister, Tassa Cremedy; fiancé, Beverly Murphy; seven nieces, Baneta Sutton (Donielle), Nakeisha Mitchell (William), Latosha Giles, Lashanda Harris, Jessica Harris, Treniece Harris, and Sniqua Cremedy; eight great-nephews; eight great-nieces; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Memorial services will be held at 12:30pm Saturday, September 16, 2023 at Union Baptist Church. The family visitation will be held from 12:00noon until 12:30pm on Saturday at the Church.
