Antoinette Simmons Linville was called home for her eternal rest on Friday, January 26, 2018. She was born January 11, 1940 in Winston-Salem, NC to the late Benjamin and Virginia Simmons. She was married to the late James Willard Linville. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Wayne Linville; and three brothers, Willie, Johnnie, and Delander Simmons.
She attended Atkins High School, was a devoted homemaker, and also worked at Western Electric. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church under the late E.L. Clark, Sr. Antoinette loved her family and always had a beautiful smile. She was best known for her culinary skills. She could definitely cook and would make sure all had something to eat. She loved her children and grandchildren.
Antoinette leaves to cherish loving memories to her children, Dr. James F. Linville (Renita), Voncile Shakir, and Billy Ray Linville, Sr., (Daphne); 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; her aunt, Maxine Simmons; one brother, Benjamin Simmons, Jr. (Pauline); and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Piney Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. James F. Linville officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 12:00noon until 1:00pm on Saturday at the Church.
