Pastor Anthony Ray Johnson, the co-founder and Pastor of Grace Outreach Ministries, completed the last chapter in the book of his life on this side on the official love day, "Valentine's Day," February 14, 2016 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was the epitome of love. Pastor Johnson was born December 28, 1969 to Ms. Rosa Lee Johnson & Mr. Shelly King, Sr. He was educated in the Winston –Salem/Forsyth County School System and was a graduate of Winston- Salem Barber College & Vintage Bible College. He was also presently attending Carolina Christian College.
In addition to his parents, Pastor Johnson was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. Leroy Johnson, Sr. & Ms. Annie Benjamin Johnson; uncles, Mr. Leroy Johnson, Jr. and Mr. Sam Johnson; aunts, Mrs. Mabel Wright & Ms. Annie Ruth Johnson; his cousins, Michael Johnson & Latrice Johnson; and his like a brother/brother-in-law, Dareiss Pollard.
He is survived by his wife, Tameka Johnson; 4 children, Antwonnttee, Bryan, Briana, and Amaree'; 2 granddaughters, Angel and JaMyria; a very loving and supportive stepmother who adored him, Mrs. Beverly King; siblings, David Johnson, Alicia Johnson, Michael King, Melanie King, Shelley King ( Lasheka), Lacosta and Ricky; a brother/brother-in-law, Minister Robert Pollard, Jr.; his in-laws who loved him immensely, Deacon Robert & Elder Sharon Pollard; and a host of uncles, cousins, and other amazing relatives and friends
Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Fresh Fire Worship Center, 1538 Waughtown St. W-S, NC 27107 with Minister Jerome James officiating. The family visitation will be held from 12noon until 1:00pm on Saturday at the Church.
